The activists of Telugu Mahila, the women’s wing of Telugu Desam (TD) had started by election campaign on Monday at Kothapatnam in Prakasam district. Women activists led by Telugu Mahila state secretary, Ms T. Aruna and Prakasam president of the same, Ms T. Madhavi paid floral tributes to the statue of NTR and further conducted a road show. The women activists conducted house-to-house campaign and applied vermillion to women asking to vote in favour of TD candidate Mr Damacharla Janardhan in the Ongole assembly by election. They reeled out welfare programme which were implemented by then TD government and claimed that only TD will end corruption and protect women. Later they further conducted campaign in the fisherfolk village K. Pallepalem.
