Drinking water supply demanded

Prajapatham was started on
Monday at Ongole and Kandukur of the Prakasam district on Monday and people
lodged complaints about local issues. Drinking water supply demand came from
public in all programmes. The minister for urban development and municipal
administration, Mr Manugunta Mahidhar Reddy started the Prajapatham at Kandukur.
Women submitted petitions seeking loans, house site and supply of potable
water. Responding to them, the minister assured resolving the issues as early
as possible. Kandukur municipal chairman, Mr B. Malakondaiah, Kandukur revenue
divisional officer, Mr M. Venkateswarlu and others participated in the
programme.
Ongole MP, Mr Magunta
Srinivasulu Reddy along with Prakasam collector, Ms Anita Rajendra participated
in the Prajapatham in St. Xavier’s high school at Ongole. The Communist Party
of India (Marxist) and other left organisations along with women of
Chaitanyanagar, Jaiprakash colony, Nethajinagar and Nehrunagar explained about
poor supply of drinking water and other difficulties.
