Farmer dies, four injured in road mishap on highway

A tobacco farmer died on the spot and four others received serious injuries in a tractor accident at Pedobinipalli village on Nandyala-Ongole highway on Tuesday. Five tobacco farmers were going in a tractor with tobacco logs to Podili.  The driver of the tractor had applied sudden brakes to avoid collision with an auto rickshaw. As a result tractor overturned. M. Ramakrishna 25 got stuck beneath of tobacco bundles and died on the spot due to asphyxiation. K. Ramakrishna Reddy, K. Balakotaiah, K. Rajaiah and E. Ramanaiah received serious injures and were rushed to Cumbham government hospital through 108 ambulance for treatment. The Tarlupadu sub-inspector, M. Rambabu registered a case.
