ONGOLE, APRIL 17

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) started investigations against liquor shop licensees who hold white ration cards in the Prakasam district. The ACB officials had identified 87 liquor shops were allotted to white ration card holders in various areas of the district against total 321. ACB is suspecting these white card license holders as benamis for others hence SIT started investigations and issued notices to all 87 persons to attend ACB office in Ongole with all required documents. The SIT officials led by inspector A. Chandrasekhar are questioning these license holders about their financial status, business activities and their political contacts.

The white card licensees are worrying with SIT investigation and further fearing about arrests by ACB. As many 40 license holders along with their credentials rushed to ACB office at Ongole and faced questions from SIT team. The ACB officials are planning to arrest all the white ration card licensees after the completion of ongoing investigation which is further frightening licensees.
