Noted Telugu film actor and writer, Mr Parchuri Gopalkrishna on a pilgrimage to Singarakonda near Addanki on Sunday. He participated in the Ayyapa Swamy idol installation programme in the Ayyappa temple. Speaking to reporters, Mr Gopalkrishna said that basically he was an atheist with the influence of Communism but the late NTR preached him about devotion hence he started believing in religion and God. He recalled that his brother Mr Venakateswar Rao had adopted Ayyappa mala for 21 times and visited Sabaramila 21 times, he too adopting the Ayyappa mala for the past 14 years. He claimed that some unbelievable incidents in his life forced him towards shunning atheistic philosophy.

Mr Gopalkrishna praised services of NTR and added that he is waiting for a charismatic leader who could fulfill aspirations and ambitions of NTR. He clarified that NTR largely cooperated towards his development in the cine field and vowed to work towards fulfillment of NTR principles. Mr Gopalkrishna performed special pujas in the temple along with his associates.
