Congress is ready for bypolls: Tulasi January 7, 2012 Ongole Congress is ready for bypolls: Tulasi The 20-Point Economic Programme Implemetation Committee chairman, Mr N. Tulasi Reddy, criticised YSR Congress president and Kadapa MP Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Speaking at a press meet here on Friday, he alleged that Mr Jagan was trying to mislead public to get political benefits with false reports and claimed that the state government had released funds to the scholarship and fee reimbursement schemes. He clarified that presently, 23.44 lakh students were benefiting with the two schemes for which Chief Minister Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy had released Rs.24.77 crore. Refuting the comments of Mr Jagan describing the CBI as the Congress Bureau of investigation, Mr Tulasi Reddy recalled that YSR had also asked for a CBI inquiry into the involvement of Mr Jagan in the Paritala Ravi murder case and ruled out all allegations against the CBI. Mr Tulasi Reddy alleged that Mr Chandrababu Naidu was trying to get the support of farmers and public with his tours though he had sent farmers to jail in electricity theft cases and killed two persons in firing. The 20-Point Economic Programme Implemetation Committee chairman claimed that Mr Naidu had stated that “agriculture was a waste profession.” Responding to the obstruction of Mr Naidu’s tour in the Telangana region by the Telangana Rastra Samiti, Mr Tulasi Reddy said that any one can tour in Telangana in a democratic system. He announced that the Congress was ready for byelections and would win all seats. Mr Tulasi Reddy said that the Praja Rajyam will soon be included in the state Cabinet in the expansion programme.
