Dalit samiti demands arrest of culprits

Parirakshana Samithi here on Sunday demanded speedy investigations of various
Dalit people’s murder cases in the Prakasam district. The Samithi district
president, Neelam Nagendram said that T. Lakshmaiah was murdered at Agraharam
of Podili mandal, and D. Lenin was murdered at Karedu under Ulavapadu mandal in
the past week days but police failed to arrest culprits behind the murders. He
recalled that their organisation had taken the murders issue to the notice of
higher police officials but in vain. He alleged that the culprits belong to
forward castes hence police are showing laxity to arrest them and demanded
speedy investigations in both the cases.
