Keep Jagan off: Dokka

Keep Jagan off: Dokka

The Congress demanded on Wednesday that the YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announce details about the flow of funds to Sakshi daily and news channel.
Minister for rural development Dokka Manikya Varaprasad Rao said that if Mr Jagan respects democracy, he should reveal funds flow and admit illegalities on the Sakshi issue.
Addressing a Congress activists’ meet, the minister ruled out allegations of the involvement of the Congress in the ongoing CBI inquiry against Mr Jagan. The minister called upon party activists to focus their campaign on Jagan’s corruption and ask people to teach a strong lesson to corrupt YSRC by casting their votes to Congress in the byelection.
He predicted historical political changes in the next few days in the state with the CBI cases. He recalled that late P.V. Narasimha Rao, DMK leader Kanimozhi and others honoured Constitution in various enquires against them but Mr Jagan was revolting against Constitution terming corruption charges as false.
He asked Ongole people to defeat the corrupt YSRC in the byelection by giving a huge majority to Congress nominee Magunta Parvatamma. Ms Parvatamma also spoke and vowed to serve people like her husband, the late Magunta Subbarami Reddy. She promised to build a third summer storage tank to meet the drinking water needs of Ongole and an underground drainage system in the town.
She promised house sites to every eligible person in Ongole and asked party activists to work together towards Congress win. MLAs of Kondepi, Yerragondapalem and Santanutalapadu, Mr G. V. Seshu, Mr A. Suresh and Mr B.N. Vijayakumar addressed the gathering.
Meanwhile, Mr Manikya Varaprasad Rao took part in a road show in support of Ms Parvatamma here on Wednesday. He appealed people to cast their votes in favour of Parvatamma for Ongole development.
