Bypolls: Botsa to take responsibility

                             Bypolls: Botsa to take responsibility

DC CORRESPONDENT

ONGOLE, MAY 12

Minister for transport and Pradesh Congress Committee president, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana here on Saturday that he is taking responsibility for the win or defeat of Congress candidates in the byelections and ruled out these elections as referendum for Congress government. During a press meet, Mr Satyanarayana said that he would issue B forms to all candidates hence he will be responsible for their wins or defeats and clarified that as the head of government, chief minister, Mr Nallari Kirankumar is also responsible for the byelection results. He explained that byelection was scheduled for only 18 assembly seats which was less that ten percent of total assembly seats hence these byelections are not a referendum for state government.

Mr Satyanarayana admitted that as ministers of YSR government they are responsible for anomalies but not for backdrop illegalities. Mentioning the statement of Telugu Desam president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu about losing power by TD due to non-implementation of free power and other welfare schemes, he analyzed that people never trusted TD hence they gave power to Congress and predicted that TD would stand in third place in the present byelections. He ridiculed that TD had never implemented welfare schemes in nine years of government but cancelled welfare schemes which was introduced by NTR.

The PCC president praised that Praja Rajyam saved Congress by sacrificing their party and alleged that YSR Congress president, Mr Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy deceived Congress by taking out 18 MLAs from the party. He added that from Motilal Nehru to Ms Sonia Gandhi, Congress leaders have sacrificed their lives for country and party but Jagan or his loyalists never sacrificed any thing except robbing public money. He alleged that Jagan was deceiving public by pronouncing simply YSR Congress remembering Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy to get benefit in the elections but actually it was Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress. He asked people to defeat corrupt YSRC candidates for a better society and termed waste of votes if people poll their votes to YSRC or TD.

Mr Satyanarayana predicted that parties which would come with personal agendas will disappear as soon as possible but Congress will live forever as it was working for policies not for leader’s personal benefits. Union minister, Ms Panabaka Lakshmi, ministers, Messrs Dokka Manikyavaraprasad Rao and Manugunta Mahidhar Reddy, Ongole candidate Ms Magunta Parvatamma, Ongole MP, Mr Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and MLAs participated in the press meet.
