Congress candidate for Ongole assembly seat, Ms Magunta Parvatamma met chief minister, Mr Nallari Kirankumar Reddy at Hyderabad on Wednesday Speaking to this newspaper, Ms Parvatamma said that CM had asked party leaders to work unitedly for the win of Congress in the prestigious Ongole byelection. She added that all Congress leaders would participate in the campaign in Ongole rural and urban areas along with Magunta followers. Ms Parvatamma said that she was going to start campaign on May 5 at Ongole.

Meanwhile, some senior Congress leaders said cine actor and MP, Mr K. Chiranjeevi would stay at Ongole for byelection campaign. According to sources, Ongole MP, Mr Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy had contacted Chiranjeevi on phone and the latter agreed to stay for two days at Ongole for the campaign in the last week of this month and asked party to schedule his tour.
