Botsa to join bypoll campaign on May 11 at Ongole

The Pradesh Congress
Committee president, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana is going to visit Ongole on May 11
to join byelection campaign in support of Congress candidate Ms Magunta
Parvatamma. The minister for rural development, Mr Dokka Manikyavaraprasad Rao
said here on Sunday that Mr Satyanarayana would hoist party flag at district
party office, address a party meet at Balaji Tirupti Rao Kalyanamandapam and
campaign in several areas of the Ongole. Addressing party cadres in the party
office, minister termed ongoing Odarpu Yatra of YSR Congress president, Mr Y.
S. Jaganmohan Reddy as a sympathy tour to grab power in the forthcoming
elections by misleading innocent voters.
The minister said that
Congress had won Ongole seat consecutively thrice and its candidate Parvatamma
will emerge winner this time too with public support. Congress candidate, Ms
Parvatamma said that she had agreed to contest the byelection due to tremendous
pressures from public. She vowed to
develop Ongole Corporation with the aid of state and Union governments. Ms
Parvatamma promised to provide social security pensions, houses and other
necessities to needy public of the constituency. She aid that a Congress
victory at Ongole would be a gift to AICC president, Ms Sonia Gandhi from
Ongole public.
MLAs Messrs A. Suresh, Mukku
Ugranarsimha Reddy, B. N. Vijaykumar and other Congress leaders addressed
gatherings and later participated in bypoll campaign in various areas of the
town.
