ONGOLE, MAY 11

The Congress are hoping to benefit in the byelection with the proposed tours of Pradesh Congress Committee president, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana Rao, chief minister Mr Nallari Kirankumar Reddy and Rajyasabha member, Mr K. Chiranjeevi. Congress candidate Ms Magunta Parvatamma and minister for rural development, Mr Dokka Manikyavaraprasad Rao with other leaders are campaigning in Ongole.  Mr Satyanarayana Rao is going to visit Ongole on Saturday, review the party position at District Congress Committee office and meet party leaders and activists.

CM, Mr Kirankumar Reddy is going to visit Ongole on May 15 and will participate in a party cadre meet at PVR high school besides addressing byelection campaigns. Mr Chiranjeevi is planning to visit in the last week and will stay for two days to campaign. Congress leaders are hoping busy campaign would be helpful towards attracting voters and are hopeful of getting win with the aid of women voters who are decision makers in Ongole assembly constituency.

Minister for municipal administration and urban development, Mr Manugunta Mahidhar Reddy, local MP, Mr Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and Congress MLAs of the district are going to join with PCC president in the campaign. Party had directed people’s representatives towards active participation in the campaign hence Kondepi MLA, Mr G. V. Seshu and Santanutalapadu legislator Mr B. N. Vijaykumar are actively participating in the campaign. These leaders are analyzing that corruption charges against YSR Congress president, Mr Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy will distract voters from YSRC and shunning Congress for personal benefits by former MLA, Mr Balineni Srinivas Reddy would help them for a win. They are further claiming that people are distrusting Telugu Desam supremo, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu despite repeated vows about continuation of welfare scheme hence Congress would emerge winner from Ongole.
